Description
For generations, careers have been shaped by assumptions about progression, achievement and success. Yet today’s world of work demands a broader, more human-centred perspective. The Emancipation of Career challenges conventional thinking and invites us to reconsider what careers are for, who they serve, and how they can support people to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.
At this special launch event, attendees will hear about the ideas behind the book and explore how career development can move beyond traditional models to embrace greater agency, equity and possibility. Through the authors’ discussion and reflections, the session will examine the changing relationship between individuals, work and society, and consider how career professionals can help people navigate uncertainty while remaining true to their values and aspirations.
Whether you work in career development, education, coaching, HR or organisational leadership, this event offers fresh perspectives on one of the most important questions of our time: what does it mean to build a good career in a rapidly changing world?
